Most of us are engaged in some type of secular social media platform, but where do we go online to connect with fellow believers on issues of faith? How are we fed and by whom? We know that when we stand before the Lord Almighty, the opinions or teachings of any person will have no value. The only thing that is going to stand is God's Word.

Our desire is for the body of Christ to be strengthened, challenged and encouraged through Bible-based discipleship with fellow believers and Christian leaders who are firmly rooted in the Truth.

Deception is running rampant throughout the Church today.

The gospel has been watered down to be pleasing to the ears of the listeners, so as not to offend. But, Jesus warned that there would be a great deception within His Church in the last days and He cautioned us not to be deceived. The only way we can avoid being deceived is by truly knowing what the Bible says. Otherwise, you will be lured into fine-sounding teachings by influential leaders that lead people straight to hell.  "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death." (Prov 14:12) The apostle Paul affirmed, in 2 Tim 3:13, that “evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." So not only do they deceive others these false teachers themselves are deceived. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."  (2 Tim 3:16-17)

The Word of God was not given to us as a mere tool for crafting a great self-help message. "As you, therefore, have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." (Col 2:6-8)

A regenerated heart will desire to please the Lord by obeying what the Lord has commanded. The very call of Jesus was the call to love Him. And the proof of this love would best be evident through obedience to His commands. Jesus said "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me...”  (John 14:21) Salvation is a free gift based on nothing more than our faith in Christ but the authenticity of this genuine transformation is evidenced by our fruit. James emphatically states, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says” (James 1:22). The Apostle John reiterated obedience to God as evidence of our love for God (1 John 5:2-3). He also cites obedience as a confirmation of our very salvation: “We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands” (1 John 2:3). Jesus made the point of saying, “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them” (John 13:17).

Nowhere in the Bible are we instructed to pray a prayer or walk an aisle for our salvation.

John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

John 3: 36 says, "And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.” (NLT)

Some translations do not use the word obey, however, the Greek word used here is APEITHEO which means to disobey, rebel, disloyal, or to refuse conformity. **(if you want to confirm this, go to Google and look up: "John 3:16 Bible lexicon" Click on the word used in this part of the passage to see the Greek word and meaning,)

We cannot cherry-pick scripture. Read this book (the Bible).

How to begin a relationship with the Lord:

Repent, Believe, Be Baptised, Receive the Spirit

“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38

1) Repentance: (Acts 3:18-19, 20:21) (Rev 2:5) (Rom 2:5)

2) Believing the Gospel of Jesus by Faith:

God sent His only son who was without sin to pay the penalty for your sin upon the cross. (2 Cor 5:21) He willingly laid down His life to have a relationship with you. (John 10:18) He died on the cross and then after 3 days He was raised to life forever conquering death and the grave. (1 Cor 15:3-4) He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. (Acts 1:9-11) He will be returning to this earth again, at the end of the age, for His Bride which is Israel and the Church who have been grafted into His plan of redemption. (Acts 5:31) (John 14:1-3)

He is Lord. You have to get off the throne.

As a believer,  we must submit to the Authority of Jesus Christ as Lord over our life.

(John 15:4-6) (1 Pet 1:14-16) (Rom 12:2) (1 Cor 6:19-20)

The Bible is a book to be fully read and spiritually discerned through the enabling of the Holy Spirit living within you if, in fact, you are truly in relationship with Jesus Christ. "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified." (2 Cor 13:5) "For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.  Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit."  (1 Thes 4:7-8) The apostle Paul speaking of Jesus said, " And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him..." (Heb 5:9)

Paul also spoke of spiritual immaturity and the need for us to grow in our spiritual understanding. He referred to milk and meat which is a metaphor intended to liken a new believer to an infant or a babe in Christ so to speak. They are just learning so they begin with milk before moving on to meat which represents the deeper truths and understanding of God's Word. There was a church Paul taught and when he came back he found that they had not grown at all spiritually. This is what he had to say " In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!  Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.  But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." (Heb 5:12-14)

3) Be Baptised in Water

"Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ," 1 Pet 3:21

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Mark 6:16

"For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ." Gal 3:27

4) Receive the Holy Spirit

"Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (John 3:5)

The good news of Christianity is not that you must live right, but that you can live right. When you repent and believe, God accepts and adopts you (justification), in order that you may live a holy life (sanctification). -(2 Tim 1:6-7)

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt 28:19-20)
